Jonathan is an alumnus of New York
University's Tisch School of the Arts. His outstanding work earned him
four NYU Dean's Awards for Cinematography for the following NYU Senior
Thesis films: Tod Ciaciuch's Wherefore Art Thou Romeo?,
Delaney Bishop's Endeavor More, Joe Mandarino's
The Drum (which was also selected at the
Munich Film Festival), and Kevin Jordan's Enter the Cypha.
Just recently, Jon was 2nd unit cinematographer on the independent feature
film The P/7/ (Cross Prods.; Dir: Razman de la Crackers).
Although Jon's main interest remains
in narrative films, ne also finds time to film
commercials for such companies as Mistic Iced Tea (Zooma Zooma Prods.;
Dir: Todd Korgan), Mark Klein (Delirious Pictures; Dir: Joe Mandarine),
and Frederique (Zooma Zooma Prods.; Dir: David Pina). He was second
camera operator on the Nike commercial "Pirate" (Cinebar Prods.;
Dir: Len Peltier).
Jon's work also includes several music videos for such artists as U96
("Love Sees no Color", Delirious Pictures), MCJus ("8
Steps", Ozone Entertainment) and Karen Michaels ("Kool Fire",
Kryptonite Prods.).
Jon has just finished filming
a feature documentary in New York. He is now in Los Angeles working
on a music video for VH1.
